How To Use Essential Oils

Very often I am asked how to best use the blends we offer in our company. So here are some recommendations I give on my consults.  The best places to apply the oil for its absorption are on key areas and please note the safety precautions and restrictions.

How to Use Essential Oils

  • Behind the Ears: apply in a circular motion clock wise (NOTE: never inside the ear)
  • Under the Nose:  apply a drop or two onto finger tip and rub under the nose (this will take it to your brain via olfactory system)
  • Soles of the Feet (we have over 70,000 nerve endings and a direct connection to our brain via meridians)
  • IMMUNE Line Only – Under the Armpits and Inguinal Region:  apply in a circular motion under the armpits and inguinal region, taking care to not get close to the sexual organs (lymphatic system)
  • DIGESTION Line Only – On the Belly:  rub clock wise onto the belly

Safe Use of Essential Oils

  • DO NOT use essential oils internally without professional training; External Use Only
  • DO NOT use essential oils on infants, children, pregnant women, the elderly, or those with serious health problems, without advanced medical study or doctor recommendation
  • If the essential oil is not in a blend, dilute with a carrier oil
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes.  Please flush with oil or milk if contact occurs, and seek medical treatment if necessary
  • Avoid prolonged exposure without proper ventilation
  • Store essential oils and carrier oils away from heat and sunlight to avoid degradation and rancidity

How to Use Bath Oils

To spread your bath oil evenly, we suggest placing a teaspoon of the bath oil in an emulsifier like milk, shake it vigorously and place in your bath.

After relaxing for 20 minutes or so, rhythmically brush your body with a natural bristle brush for about 10 minutes, this will allow your body to absorb the oil.

Relax for another 10 minutes, and without getting cold, lay down on your bed with warm covers, without making your body sweat, for about 20 minutes, it is here that the therapeutic properties for mind and soul are experienced.
